Manufacturing of Heliaflor®

Shelled sunflower seeds are partially defatted using cold pressing, a patent pending process. The sunflower press cake that incurs during pressing is being pulverized under exclusion of oxygen in a special temperature controlled and gentle process. Production is taking place in Germany. Origin of raw material is EU agriculture. During manufacturing process of Heliaflor® 55 an additional manufacturing step takes place. Before final fine grinding presscake is CO2 extracted in order to reduce fat content and to increase protein content in the finished product.
